Trading pokemon from silver version to crystal version?!? - pokemon silver switches

from what I have:
2 gameboy advances
1 copy of the version of Crystal
1 copy of the silver version
1 gameboy advance link cable from dreamGEAR (not to change with GBC and GBA and GBA only)

I can not study how trade pokemon!
I have them when I'm talking to the lady in the club races cable is always the other is doing or connection timeout due to inactivity.
I do not know how or if possible. Is it possible to trade between these two requirements in Pokémon Game Boy games? or somehow, I have in my hands two gameboy colors ....
